Over the past months, re:innovation has taken an important step in its international development: establishing a local presence in Finland.
This move is not an experiment, nor a symbolic expansion. It reflects a direction that has become increasingly clear through our work in retail and supply chain transformation across Europe - effective implementation and long‑term improvement happen close to the people involved. To deliver sustainable value, proximity matters: cultural, operational, and human.

Our presence in Finland is structured as a fully local company, operating under Finnish standards, practices, and ways of working. The goal is simple: to be truly part of the local ecosystem, not an external extension operating at a distance.
Why Finland
Finland is one of the strongest hubs of retail planning and supply chain expertise in Europe. It is home to deep operational know-how, mature consulting talent, and a strong connection between technology, business, and execution -particularly in the RELEX ecosystem.
Through our collaboration on RELEX implementations across multiple markets, it became clear that Finland is not just a place where innovation originates, but a place where it is shaped, refined, and applied at a very high standard.
“Finland stands out through its depth of expertise and its pragmatic approach to solving complex planning challenges,” says Bogdan Gross, CEO of re:innovation. “Being closer to this ecosystem allows us to learn faster, collaborate better, and continuously improve how we deliver value to our customers.”
A local company, not a satellite
For re:innovation, entering a new market has never been about placing a flag on the map. In Finland, as in Romania and Poland, our approach is based on real local ownership and long-term commitment.
The Finnish entity operates with its own local team, aligned to Finnish legislation, working standards, and professional expectations. This enables direct collaboration with Finnish customers, closer involvement in day‑to‑day delivery, and faster feedback loops between planning, execution, and optimization.
Rather than “importing” a predefined model, we are building something that feels natural in the Finnish context - with clear responsibilities, high levels of trust, low hierarchy, and strong ownership of outcomes. This structure allows consultants to focus on meaningful work: improving RELEX setups over time, strengthening planning accuracy, and ensuring that delivery evolves together with the customer’s business.
How we work
At the core of re:innovation’s expansion into Finland is a clear belief: the quality of delivery depends directly on the environment in which people work. We are intentionally building a setup where consultants can focus on solving real problems, not just executing tasks, take ownership and act autonomously, influence decisions and solution design, and learn continuously through practice rather than bureaucracy.
Our way of working emphasizes calm, clarity, and accountability. We aim to create a supportive team culture, with space for thinking, collaboration, and long‑term professional growth - not short‑term pressure.
This approach is already reflected in how we operate: practical, honest, and focused on doing the work well.
Strengthening RELEX implementations over time
A key focus of the Finnish team is the continuous improvement of RELEX Solutions setups. Beyond project delivery, our objective is to help customers make their planning environments work better over time — adapting to new requirements, improving performance, and ensuring long‑term value.
By combining local Finnish expertise with re:innovation’s broader international experience, we are able to bring together local proximity and cross‑market perspective. This balance allows us to support both stability and innovation in complex planning environments.
Looking ahead
The Finnish expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter - one that we are building carefully and responsibly. Our focus going forward remains clear: prioritizing quality over scale, people over processes, and long‑term value over short‑term wins.
We will continue to grow step by step, with the right people and the right mindset, staying close to customers and to the realities of their operations.
If this perspective on consulting, delivery, or RELEX implementations resonates with how you think about your work, we would be glad to connect.
